Social Media

  • I began Rural Route Review for a social media internship for the Illinois Corn Growers Association. Through Facebook and Twitter I raised awareness about my postings and increased traffic to my blog. This blog has always been a personal reflection of my thoughts, feelings and ideas, today is no different. Rural Route Review today is merely a continuation of what I began, an effort to communicate about agriculture (with a little more about my day to day experiences thrown in for good measure).
  • In the summer of 2011 the Illini Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) began a blog for members to post about their experiences during their various internships. I am a contributing member for this blog in addition to Rural Route Review.
  • I also managed the social media outlets for the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), namely their Facebook account which you can find here.
